BBOD: COAS is set in 2024 amidst a plethora of Boeing manufacturing failures and widespread strikes against the conglomerate. Recent events, such as Boeing’s planes depressurizing mid-flight and the Boeing StarLink failure, have not only wrecked Boeing’s stock prices but have eroded public confidence in the company. Boeing’s recent crises have also stoked an inquiry and investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) on the company’s future. With planes falling out of the sky (literally!), delegates must determine a way to (1) prevent future disasters and (2) restore public confidence in Boeing’s aerospace endeavors.
